What's been done
- Every photograph carries descriptive alternative text, and decorative images are marked so a screen reader skips them rather than reading noise.
- Every form field has a visible, linked label. Errors are announced in text, not by colour alone, and focus moves to the first field that needs attention.
- The photo gallery is fully operable from the keyboard — arrow keys move between photos, Escape closes it, focus is kept inside it while open and returned where it started on close.
- Headings run in a logical order so a screen reader can navigate by structure, and a skip link jumps straight past the header.
- Text and background colours were chosen for contrast, and the layout reflows without horizontal scrolling from a large desktop monitor down to a 360px phone.
- Text enlarges with browser zoom without content being cut off, and all motion is disabled for anyone whose system asks for reduced motion.
Where it falls short
Being straight with you: this site hasn't been audited by a third-party accessibility firm, and I won't claim a conformance level it hasn't been formally tested against. Property listings and photographs also come from the MLS and from photographers, and I don't control how every one of those is captured.
